There aren't too many dealerships out there yet that specialize in electric powered cars but I'd expect the number to grow considerably over the next 2 years. I did a search and compiled a directory (I'm not making any claims that this is comprehensive or complete!) If you know of any others feel free to leave a comment.

Inflatable Electric Car!

After several years of big is better with trucks seemingly getting so large as to nearly take up two lanes, the trend may be shifting with a new found focus on environmentall friendly options. The buzz is building about electric and hybrid cars, most of which would be crushed in an accident. Enough to make any potential buyer hesitant. However, an interesting press release was posted yesterday from a company called XP Vehicles based out of the Bay Area that will begin selling a sub $5000 inflatable, electric car! Yep, that's right inflatable. The company claims that the car implements NASA technology and is completely safe. I think I'll let others do the "beta" testing for this one. Apparently the electric car ships in two boxes and takes two people about two hours to assemble and will be available in late 2008. From the website: (what was that about driving off a cliff?
